Dr. Tegan Moore is the Executive Medical Director and co-founder of WHEELHOUSE Center for Health and Wellbeing, a premier multi-disciplinary medical center located in the heart of downtown Fairfield CT.
Dr. Moore’s approach to healing is guided by the understanding that the best medicine supports the body’s extraordinary potential to sustain and heal itself. Trained as a Generative Medicine specialist, Dr. Moore specializes in the ‘hard stuff’ – difficult and complex conditions that require a creative, intelligent approach, personalized to match the unique health needs of the patient. Focusing on precision medicine and nutrigenomics, she offers a unique approach to healing backed by leading edge analytics and evidence-based treatment strategies.
After graduating with high honors from NYU in 2001, Dr. Moore continued on to Columbia University where she completed a post baccalaureate program in the pre-medical sciences. While preparing for naturopathic medical school, Dr. Moore spent four years working as a post-operative care unit (PACU) assistant manager and a nursing assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as well as an assistant to the breast cancer research fellow at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, studying the effects of hypnosis and meditation on stress hormone levels in women undergoing breast surgery. She was also one of the founding employees of CityMD, a successful urgent care practice in the NYC area, helping launch the first medical office on the Upper East Side.
Dr. Moore graduated top of her class from the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport in 2016. During her five years of naturopathic training, she spent extensive time learning under the tutelage of Dr. Peter D'Adamo, the author of Eat Right for Your Type and foremost expert in glycobiology. After a year of intensive residency training, she went on to hold the Director of Operations position at his teaching clinic The Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine, where she directed the implementation of an electronic medical record system and brought new organization, staff and life to the practice.
In her spare time Dr. Moore is a pilates and zumba enthusiast, enjoys interior design and spending time with her husband and children.
