Dr. Tegan Moore

As a naturopathic physician,  Dr. Moore’s approach to healing is guided by the understanding that the best medicine supports the body’s extraordinary potential to sustain and heal itself. She is currently a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Connecticut and offers appointments at WHEELHOUSE Center for Health and Wellbeing, a boutique integrative medicine clinic located in the heart of Fairfield, CT. Dr. Moore is also the mother of two wonderful children, both of whom were born in the small Vermont log cabin where she herself was born. 

Trained as a Generative Medicine specialist, focusing on precision medicine and nutrigenomics, Dr. Moore offers a unique, personalized approach to healing backed by cutting edge research and techniques for a wide variety of conditions including women's health, weight loss and detox, endocrine and autoimmune conditions as well as chronic diseases such as diabetes. 

 

After graduating with high honors from NYU in 2001, Dr. Moore continued on to Columbia University where she completed a post baccalaureate program in the pre-medical sciences.

While preparing for naturopathic medical school, Dr. Moore spent four years working as a post-operative care unit (PACU) assistant manager and a nursing assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as well as an assistant to the breast cancer research fellow at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, studying the effects of hypnosis and meditation on stress hormone levels in women undergoing breast surgery. She was also one of the founding employees of CityMD, a successful urgent care practice in the NYC area, helping launch the first medical office on the Upper East Side.

Dr. Moore graduated top of her class from the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport in 2016. During her five years of naturopathic training, she spent extensive time learning under the tutelage of Dr. Peter D'Adamo, the author of Eat Right for Your Type and foremost expert in glycobiology. After a year of intensive residency training, she went on to hold the Director of Operations position at his teaching clinic the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine in Bridgeport CT where she directed the implementation of a electronic medical record system and brought new organization, staff and life to the practice. She is now the Executive Medical Director of WHEELHOUSE Center for Health and Wellbeing, offering a team approach to personalized healthcare along with her husband and co-founder Adam Moore. 

In her spare time she enjoys running, interior design and spending time with her husband and children.
